They are all random snapshots, not the best works of photography, but I found most of them interesting. I have picked ten of them for this entry.


You will notice that most of the photos are of places in Hong Kong or animals. It’s probably true (to some degree) that your photos tell a lot about you. :)

My current obsession is none other than BBC’s documentary Life, narrated by Sir David Attenborough. This is basically a series about how different animals live their life – for a better word, survive.

I found out about the series by accident1, watched one episode, got completely hooked and had to find other aired episodes. Being extremely interested in mammals and amphibians, those were my two favourite episodes.2

The amount of effort (shown in the “on location” segment), the impressive camera work, thoughtful editing and sound effects, and Sir David Attenborough’s engaging narration3 all contribute to the brilliance of this show.

If you are interested in animals and nature, check it out. You will be pleasantly surprised. :)

  1. I’ll confess, I was trying to find videos of the Jesus Christ lizard running across water.
  2. I failed to watch through the insects episode, though.
  3. He is so good at this, I don’t know who else comes close.

Penguins are one of my favourite animals. Therefore it always makes me very excited to see them, unfortunately I can only see them in zoos. This was taken in Dublin Zoo in January this year, and I think Michael took it for me, because he takes better photos than I do. How cute is the swimming penguin! :D
