I lived in an area called Maryhill which is just outside the West End of Glasgow (where University of Glasgow is). We had been told it could be “dodgy”, but I was lucky enough that I had never seen that side of it. There was a park right behind our residence, occasional walks in the park was enough to make me enjoy being a student.
